The Competing Environmental Sounds (CES) Test is an audiologic procedure in which two familiar sounds are presented dichotically from a sample of 14 sounds. The entire task requires 10 minutes for the recorded instructions, practice and test items. This test can provide information regarding inter-hemispheric transfer of site of lesson evaluations when analyzed in conjunction with the SSW test.
